Jeremy Recovers from Knee Surgery

He tweeted that the minor surgery performed by team orthopedist Answorth Allen was a success: “Praise God for a successful surgery…road to recovery! Lets goo. Much love to the fans for your support and kind words.” The operation was to repair a small tear in the meniscus of the left knee.
Jeremy Sits Out Bucks Game With Sore Knee

According to Barbara Barker, the knee has been bothering him the past couple of games. While he did take part in Monday’s workout before the game, he’s currently listed as day-to-day.
Ben & Jerry’s Starts Selling Lin-Sanity Flavor

According to Boston.com, Ben & Jerry’s has started selling a limited-release flavor at its Harvard Square shop called “Taste the Lin-Sanity.” The store has set up a hoop inside the store and customers that make a basket can earn a $1 discount on a pint of Lin-Sanity.

After easily dispatching of the Hawks, 99-82, behind Jeremy’s 17 points and 9 assists, the Knicks head to Miami to face LBJ and DWade. LeBron has already mentioned that at least part of the time, he plans to be guarding Jeremy. The game will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

Video Game Finally Pays Jeremy Lin More Respect

The video game NBA 2K12, published by 2K Sports, did the unprecedented and upgraded Jeremy’s player rating twice in one week. The game had initially rated him at a lowly 56 (out of 99). After his breakout performances, however, that was bound to change. His first ratings update came about a week ago to a 69. Then a few days ago, his rating was set to 75, where it currently stands. The most recent update puts his rating near that of Ricky Rubio, who has a 77. If Jeremy continues to deliver the wins, expect more upgrades to come.
Jeremy to Participate in All-Star Weekend Rising Star Challenge

While he wasn’t part of the original rosters that were released for the game, which features NBA first and second year players, the league made him a late addition to the pool. He ended up as the third pick in the draft for the game, going after Blake Griffin and Kyrie Irving.
It’s also expected that Jeremy will participate in the Slam Dunk contest, assisting his teammate on the Knicks, Iman Shumpert.

As one of Jeremy’s already existing sponsors, Nike is preparing to cash in on the Linsanity. According to ESPN Radio’s blog, Nike is set to release the Nike Hyperfuse 2011 Linsanity PE, pictured above. No word yet, though, on when Jeremy will start sporting the new kicks, nor when they will be made available to the public.

Fresh off winning the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award, Jeremy will be on the cover of the new issue of Sports Illustrated this week. Not too shabby for a guy who, a week ago, was sleeping on his brother’s couch.
